Coca-Cola presents Peter Andre as the star becomes Coke's celebrity busker as part of its celebration and sponsorship of London Underground busking spots
For many, music and Christmas go hand in hand and in recognition of this Coca-Cola Great Britain is hosting a once in a lifetime sparkling celebrity treat for festive shoppers.
For the first time ever Peter Andre, will be partnering with Coke to become their star celebrity busker, in a one-off performance for shoppers at a mystery outdoor Central London location.
In a rare unplugged live performance, Peter will sing his current single, 'Unconditional', as well as a stunning selection of some of the nation's favourite festive songs, which is sure to get everyone in seasonal good spirits. The event will help to raise funds and awareness for 95.8 Capital FM's, Help a London Child, which has been running for thirty-four years and has so far raised over £20,000,000 to help London's less advantaged and most vulnerable children and young people.
This Christmas, as well as running its much loved 'Holidays are Coming' and 'Greatest Gift' TV spots, distributing special Christmas packs featuring the iconic Coca-Cola Sundblom Santa and running a daily 'Greatest Gift' prize draw; Coca-Cola is also hoping to spread a little more Christmas cheer through its sponsorship of London Underground's official busking spots.
Peter commented: "I love Christmas and everything associated with it so I jumped at the chance to help bring a little extra festive cheer to shoppers. I can't wait to sing some of the nations favourite and best known Christmas songs and really start feeling Christmassy!"
Cathryn Sleight, marketing director at Coca-Cola Great Britain, added: "We are delighted that Peter is helping us spread some additional Christmas cheer through his one off performance later this month. 2009 has been a tough year for many people and we know that the festive period is a real opportunity for people to enjoy time with friends and family and music is often an important part of that celebration. We hope this initiative with Peter, alongside the buskers of London and some of our well loved Christmas ads, can help add a little bit of extra festive magic and cheer this holiday season."
