Olympic sponsor 'Coca-Cola' goes for gold this summer - and beyond

This month heralds Coca-Cola Great Britain's 80th anniversary as sponsor of the Olympic Games, and to mark the occasion Coca-Cola Great Britain is celebrating with the release of a limited-edition original glass bottle to commemorate the Olympic Games handover to London, as well as an exciting on-pack promotion.
Olympic Games Handover to London 2012
Coca-Cola Great Britain is launching a limited edition Olympic Games glass bottle to commemorate the 2012 handover to London. The unique image, created by renowned London-based photographer Rankin, kicks-off the countdown to London 2012. Rankin's image of two hands passing a white rose between them stems from a combination of the positive spirit of ‘Coca-Cola' and the exciting journey London is set to embark on ahead of 2012.
Cathryn Sleight, Marketing Director for Coca-Cola Great Britain, adds: "'Coca-Cola' has had a long standing partnership with the Olympics, dating back for over 80 years. With such heritage it's wonderful that Rankin has created such a powerful and evocative image on the iconic ‘Coca-Cola' glass bottle which symbolises the spirit, excitement and anticipation of the 2012 games."

In addition, the ‘Win a Dream Experience' on-pack activity is running across all 500ml single packs of ‘Coca-Cola', Coca-Cola Zero' and ‘diet Coke' single packs, and is part of an integrated communications campaign worth over £2.5 million. This latest promotion offers participants the chance to bring their dreams to life, with money-can't-buy prizes which tap into consumers' key passions - travel, entertainment, gaming, fashion, sport and music. There is one amazing ‘Dream Experience' up for grabs every day throughout August, ranging from flamenco lessons with an expert in Madrid, to training as a Astronaut at Space Odyssey in Florida, to the chance to explore the South Pole.
The ‘Win a Dream Experience' promotion is also supported by Olympic Games graphics on 330ml single cans, multi-pack cans and 2 Litre bottles. A unique promotional code can be found on the packs, and consumers can simply text in or enter their unique code online at the Coke Zone website via www.coca-cola.co.uk.
